Pub-restaurant "Pyvnyy Somelye" is the result of three years of work by a group of designers, artists, historians and collectors of beer paraphernalia, who are united by love and respect for beer, its history and the culture of its consumption. Paintings from the history of brewing inside the premises, cheerful images on the facade, reflecting the color of different peoples, initially contribute to the emergence of a cheerful mood and a good time.
The interior of the establishment is dedicated to one thing - beer of different nations. The facade of the building is made in the style of old houses in Germany and the north of France, oak beams of the end of the 19th century were used during construction. The interior is full of various beer paraphernalia, collections of labels from all countries and peoples, beer labels, beer corks, aluminum cans of both well-known and exotic brands of beer, as well as a collection of beer glasses from around the world.
Initially, the pub-restaurant was built to meet the needs of the Kyiv Club of Independent Beer Lovers and today is under its patronage. It is the members of the club who choose the types of beer sold in the establishment, control its freshness and quality, the culture of serving and the main part of the menu served with beer. In addition, club members periodically brew their own beer under the Beer Club brand of various styles, according to original recipes, giving visitors the opportunity to taste beer with a unique taste. At the meetings of the beer club, rare types of beer are tasted, issues of the culture of beer consumption are discussed, interesting discussions are held, dedicated to beer attributes, beer of different countries. The members of the beer club are not only men, but also women and girls, whose influence could not fail to affect the choice of beer varieties, the interior and the menu, in particular its dessert part.
The restaurant's menu consists of dishes from Irish and German pubs, plus dishes typical of pubs in different countries. Dishes such as pork shoulder in beer sauce, ribs and sausages with sausages, which are made in the restaurant according to the Bavarian recipe, remain irreplaceable.
